Sometimes the best things happen when you least expect it. In mid-2018, Sheridan Weideman's boyfriend was scrolling through local adoptable pets and fell in love with Blue's quirky look and pointy ears! Everyone at FHI remembers those ears, ears for daysssss!!!
With his adoption finalized in September 2018, Sheridan says her experience with FHI went very well. She met Blue through his foster mom, FHI volunteer Margret, and she tells us Margret was simply amazing. Margret made sure he found the right home and it just happened to be them! Now also known by BlueBlue and BooBoo, Blue is living his best life with his fur brother Leo, with whom he is inseparable (Leo on the left, Blue on the right).
Whenever Blue wants to play with Leo, we hear from Sheridan that he "does this awesome Kung Fu butt swing move; he literally lifts up his butt and does a 180 swing at Leo's face! Being part Husky, he also makes the most expressive play noises!" Despite starting off a bit shy and independent, he's now a total cuddle bug, super easy going and very curious about everything.
Sheridan also recommends that if you're going to adopt to be sure you have ADEQUATE phone storage available for all the pictures you'll be taking of your new forever friend. And we couldn't agree more! Without foster homes like Margret provides, we wouldn't be able to place as many dogs as we do. A huge shout out to Sheridan for taking the time to fill us in on Blue! Sheridan also tells us that she still keeps in touch with Margret over texts and they're connected on Facebook. "She made this an absolutely amazing experience and her care/love for FurEver Home Inc. really showed."
