Time to spotlight another amazing volunteer! Everyone, say Hello to Cindi Moen Schumacher!
Cindi has been with Furever Home since Deb was running the rescue out of her home & she is our Transport Coordinator. At first, she was just doing transports (all across the country!), then she started helping at the shelter 3 days a week. She was also our laundry lady for a short while; in an effort to keep up with laundry & costs down, she would pack & haul all of the laundry to her own home to make sure it all got washed & folded.
Cindi has also spent many, many hours helping to run events, coordinate supply pick-ups, as well as getting some of our pups to their vet appointments...tasks that are all very important to a volunteer-based rescue.
Due to her auto accident, she hasn’t been able to volunteer as much, but she is still a valued member of our team. She’s hoping that after her next surgery, she will be able to start helping out more. Her greatest memory with the rescue was the moment they finally caught Miss Grace! Grace eluded volunteers trying to bring her to safety for almost 4 weeks. Cindi was the one that finally got her cornered & saved!! Thank you so much for EVERYTHING, Cindi!
